2. Purposes of processing

Your personal data collected (name, surname, national ID/passport number, date of birth, gender, telephone, email, blood group, emergency contact details, club/team name, athlete licence and medical report data, together with photographs, video and drone footage taken during the event) is processed for the following purposes, in accordance with Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK:

  • Use of visual and audio material for the promotion and advertising of the event and announcements of future events.

3. To whom and for what purpose personal data may be transferred

In line with the purposes stated above, your processed personal data may be transferred to official public institutions (the Governorship, District Governorship, law enforcement, Ministry of Health teams), to the chip company providing the timing infrastructure, and to the organisation's official sponsors, within the framework of the transfer conditions set out in Article 8 of the KVKK.

4. Method of collection and legal basis

Your personal data is collected through registration forms completed on our website, medical documents uploaded to the system, undertakings signed at the kit collection desk and footage taken by our media teams during the race — by wholly or partly automated means, or by non-automated means provided it forms part of a data recording system.

The legal basis for processing your personal data is the establishment or performance of a contract, the fulfilment of the data controller's legal obligation and the existence of the data subject's explicit consent.

5. Data subject rights under Article 11 of the Law

As a data subject, under Article 11 of the Law you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information if it has been processed, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose, to know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Türkiye or abroad, to request correction if it has been processed incompletely or incorrectly, and to request its erasure or destruction.
